Three MCC Campuses Celebrate the Big 5-0

In 1969, Richard M. Nixon was sworn in as the 37th President of the United States, nearly half a million gathered on a farm in upstate New York to take part in the Woodstock music festival, and, here a bit closer to home, three of the five Metropolitan Community College campuses opened their doors. MCC-Longview, MCC-Maple Woods and MCC-Penn Valley will be holding a number of special events throughout this school year to celebrate their 50th Anniversary.

Some of the planned activities include alumni recognition reception and completion of 50 service projects (Longview), a 1960s horror-themed haunted barn (Maple Woods), and holiday parties with retirees (all three campuses).
